Looking for a fun activity with children in the centre of Nijmegen? Go on a Drakenjacht in Valkhofpark. During this digital outdoor treasure hunt for children aged 3 to 8, you use the map on your phone to find 8 young dragons. Each dragon has a short challenge, followed by the chance to take a magical photo with the dragon you have found.
Valkhofpark sits on a hill at the edge of the city centre and overlooks the River Waal. It is a historic park with old trees, Sint-Nicolaaskapel and remains of the former castle. That gives the location a very different feel from Nijmegen’s larger green city parks. Drakenjacht is easy to combine with a visit to the city centre.
